The ABC's of putting a LS1 in my 1969 Corvette
I have had a couple tips on doing this, but I would like a shopping list, and ABC's on how to do. Assuming I buy the used motor with the harness on it, dont think I want to deal with getting a aftermarket one, or do I? Please, if you can help, please list a action by action detail, otherwise, I know I'll mess it up! lol
Here's the motor that came out of it, and some interesting history.

The best way to figure out what all needs to be done is to do a lot of reading and searching. Everyones conversion ends up being a little different, unless you copy another conversion exactly. I can`t help much with the specifics, but I can help with wiring.
You can use a factory harness and rework it to fit with your conversion. If you are not afraid to tackle wiring there is lots of information available, check out the FAQ sticky at the top of the conversions and hybrids forum there is a lot of info in it. If you feel that the wiring is not something you want to tackle check out one of our sponsors, speartech and wait4meperformance both rework factory harnesses and eliminate all the wires you don`t need.

Chuck,
Welcome to the site. Click the link my sig below to see my LS1 Swap page. Also check out 70LS1's site. You aren't going to get step-by-step directions but the more you read the more you'll know what to ask / search.
