It's Alive!

Started the engine last night! Thanks to Jim Norman and the guys at Speed Inc, (Tom, Larry, Butch and Jim). The guys at Speed Inc did the mechanical install for me. Jim Norman and I spent a bunch of hours working on the electrical, (and drinking som newkies), yesterday. After we figured out that the crank sensor was unpluged,(blame that on the beer!), the engine fired right up. The engine is an LQ4 running Fbody manifolds and the 3" exhaust I had when running the 502. The cam is a comp grind that is very similar to a thunder racing cheaTR. Hot idle is 790 ish with no tune and throttle response is awsome! After I get the shifter hooked up, and some misc wiring cleaned up she should be road worthy. I also hope to be able to get back over to Speed inc after she is on the road for a tune. With any luck I will be attending the Speed inc open house. I am looking forward to killing the remainder of the 295/50's!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure blame it on the beer goggles....:chug:
Good thing that was the only connector I missed after all the beers!
What did you expect from a carb guy turning wrenches on an LSX setup?
Those Newcastles did taste good though!
I can't wait to see the 295's up in smoke soon:)
Now I need to get moving on mine!!!

Figured you would see the post sooner or later and chime in! April 21st is the end of the 295's so plan on being there! Thanks again for the help! Wired one fan today and the coolant temps did not get above 194. It was quite the PITA to get all of the air out of the system.

Just let me know when its time to get the TT lightweight running. I'm there!
