5.3 won't rev

After getting tons of info from LS1 tech I put a 5.3 from and 06 suburban in my 66 malibu. It starts and idles fine but when I try to rev it it will go to about 1800 rpms and go back to idle.It has good fuel pressure but seems almose like the fuel is being shut down. The pcm has the passlock rear O2's and other emissions dissabled.Any ideas???

How long did the engine sit? My '99 sat for awhile, and when it finally came time to start it up, it wouldn't. Turned out the injectors had gummed up. I cleaned them out the best I could and got it running, but it took awhile before it seemed to run right. So what I am getting at is the injectors may be partially plugged...

Yhanks but the engine didn't sit at all.I bought when it came in and I've been installing it for about 2 weeks.

i seen a 06 or 07 truck the pcm went into limp mode when it got wrecked, you could hold the pedal on the floor and all it would do was idle you can look into that

There are some settings in Tuner Cat I was told about over at www.Monodax.com,

Abuse Mode TEST Enable RPM: 1600
Abuse Mode Test Disable RPM: 1000

Below those settings are some settings for Abuse Mode Enable RPM and MPH, both are set much higher, 4600 RPM and 255 MPH

So anyone have any insight to this TEST mode and if the PCM can be fooled out of this mode without programming?

Thanks,Monodax is where the programmer got his software.Maybe that will help.
