2003 5.3 with 4l60E

Questions:

can I run regular fuel line for the return back to the tank?

the heater hoses that come off the water pump, is one an out and the other a return, or whats up with them?

how do you run a mechanical oil gauge?

You might be able to get away with regular fuel line on the return but I would not recommend it. There should be very little pressure in there, but if there was ever a kink or blockage the pressure could hit 60 psi + and if the regular fuel line was on there it may blow out and cause a fire. My favorite lines are the flexible quick connect plastic GM lines........time to hit the junkyard.

Yep, the nipples on the waterpump are the in and the out for the heater hoses. I forget which is in and which is out.

To run a mechanical oil pressure gauge you will need metric to american adapters, autometer and equues(sp?) make them. Remove the factory sending unit from behind the intake and then install the adapter and the mechanical pickup.
