Don't think it's feasible as the two cars have completely different dimensions in the interior.

Yea, I was gonna say to PM Camaroboy69 on here too. That's his page will69camaro posted up. I was doing the same thing in my '69 as well. You can't use the
manual windows with the doors closed though. I was going to install electric windows anyway.

I never said it could not be done, if you have enough time or money, there are no limitations as to what can be done with a car. And that is a great example.

"nope, what i did was drilled the spot welds out of the factory dash to get it out and then used zip ties and vise grips to hold the 4th gen dash in where i wanted it and designed brackets around it. i had my dad hold the steering column where i wanted it while i made brackets haha. if you use the stock 4th gen column you'll have to cut it down about 3 1/2 to 4 inches on the center shaft and about 1 to 1 1/2 on the outer column tube."

good thing he had enough time and money to do it.... :jest:

Well, I guess I am completely wrong, apparently this is extremely easy and cheap to do, almost a bolt in affair according to that description.

I saw a 1st gen at Autorama with a 4th gen camaro dash board and seats. It was SSSSWWWWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT

LS69TA Aug 3, 2007 09:36 PM

Yea, I had the entire black T/A interior with 6spd console I was going to put in my '69. It was gonna be killer with the '02 LS1/6spd and FM-15 cam. After firing up the engine, I realized how much $$ I had involved and how much more time and $$ I needed :(.

Well, being that he drives a Ford, this is probably the only owning he gets to do. :jest:

Don't get upset about posting on something you know nothing about. Everyone does it at some point.

I would like to do it but I have a 4th gen. When I get into my 69, I don't want to feel like i'm driving my 99.

Either way it looks good however.

I have yet to see a dash I really like for a first gen... I like the look of a 5" tach and speedo in a 67/68 cluster, but having all my gauges front and center is more important to me so I went with a 6-gauge Covan's panel in my 68. Also hate the back-sloping center stack in the 67/68... going to do something about that in mine someday--may put a touch screen there for a computer for RTT and GPS Nav.
