I may do that at some point, but for now the coil covers are staying.

I took the car for a ride today! The LS7 clutch with the mechanical linkage is a little tricky. It feels grabby and getting moving smoothly is hard. I'm hoping it gets easier as it breaks in. Everything else works great.
I got into the throttle a little and it pulls great. I didn't get dare to go too nuts though, the roads are pretty sandy from the snowplows last weekend.
The car is going for paint this weekend. My uncle owns the shop so he allowed me to do some of the work. Lot's of looks at the gas station

That thing took forever to build, I'd have to charge at least $2000 to build another one, intake and rails only.
It wouldn't be worth in on a carbed motor. The cast ones are at least as good as anything I could do.
I mainly built this one because there aren't any good manifolds for L92 heads. I had one on my last motor too and I like the looks of them. Plus it's a fun challenge.
Just a few more days till I bring it to The Shop for paint. I'm hoping I can drive it a couple more times before then, although its rattiness is a little embarrassing.

I'm about 35 mins south of Grand Rapids down here in cornfield country.
I made a bracket that goes down from the water pump to the alternator and one that goes from the AC compressor bolt bosses forward. Parts of the front bracket are visible in some of the pictures on the first page. I'll get some more tomorrow and add them.

Aughta be quick. Love the power you can make by adding a sheet metal intake.
Here's a nice intake my son-in-law uses in some of his custom LSX engine builds.

I've heard that too, but I've never had a problem with this setup. I had a similar intake on my body dropped S10 and in the Corvette before this one and I passed tech several times at an NHRA track.
The car is at the body shop right now and I should get it back in 3-4 weeks. I don't think I'm going to be able to take any progress pictures, but I'll post lots when I get it back.

It's back from paint!
I just have a couple pictures for now. It was too late in the day to get any really good ones.
The wait4me tune is incredible for mail order. The plugs look good and it pulls hard above 4500. I'll get EFI live later this summer for fine tuning but it's not urgently needed at all.

where did you get the coolant fittings for the front of the head?
i tapped my heads out and run a 90 degree NPT/AN fitting there.
its a lil tight on the head. the fitting rubs as you turn to tighten it.
i had a set of billet spacers/adapters from wagner, but didnt like the design. they were really nice pieces though.

I made those. Originally I had steel -04 fittings welded to the stock cast iron steam line bosses but they leaked. I didn't know they were cast iron when I started welding them and water kept leaking out due to porosity created during welding. The fittings on there now are aluminum scrap with leftover -04 nipples welded on. I think I spent about 30 minutes making both. Way less time than I spent trying to make the stock ones seal.
Can you post some pictures of your setup and the wagner fittings?
