Any first gen mustang swaps out there?
 

I know most people hate this concept and for all I know there is a Ford motor that would be easier...but my father loves these first gens and used to drive one when in College. I would love to modernize the engine and tranny and clean up the car and present it to him.

Has anyone swapped an ls based engine or similar into a first gen mustang?

I have never done or seen the swap, but I cannot imagine it being any more difficult that a 1st gen Nova. The suspension and engine compartment are damn near identical between the 2. A few of us on here have stuffed LSX engines in novas, I see no reason why you cant get it in a mustang.

It's not as common because most people dont want to "bastardize" a classic. I myself would love to see one/have one.

The fod mod motprs arent really good options for these cars.
