Ignition Switch Wiring

i am installing a 5.3 into my 70 chevy blazer.had my harness reworked by speartech.
my question is:
the wire thats supposed to be hooked to ignition switched power.is it better to tie directly in at the ignition switch or pick a terminal on my fuse box to use for switched power?

thanks for the help.

Why are you asking on here, just call Speartech since they did the harness.

I would use relays since early ignition switches arent designed to handle high current. 15amps I think is all.
Run 12v hot all times to ignition switch batt. Then run switched 12v from ig switch to 85 or 86 terminal of (30 or 40 amp) relay.Ground other side of relay coil. Run 12-14g power wire to 30 term on relay and then speartech twelve volt switched(pink) to 87.
Do same for starter with another relay. I think its a yellow black to 85 or 86.
fat 12v power to 30 and purple solenoid wire to 86. This way minimal current through switch. Fuse all power wires.
hope this helps
