6.6 Duramax into my T-56 f-body Trans am PICS!! ??????

That's a nice trans am. It looks like you put a ton of work into it... I think it'd be better to start off with a cheap beater.
How about a 77-90 B-body? I used to drive one of them, and the engine bay is gigantic.
Some of them originally came with a LF9 350 cube Oldsmobile diesel, which I imagine would weigh as much as a Duramax.

Look i have a 1994 Z28, totops, auto chasis at my house. Its a roller, has all donuts, colum was damaged, has hatch, no totops or windows or interior but was not wrecked or anyhting. you can just HAVE it if you would like to use it for dimensions and such. I will give it to you if you are serious about the project. I dont have a title i just had it as a parts car.

Ok guys, check out Drag Week. There is a Mustang with a diesel in it. I didn't pay much attention to whether it was a Duramax or Ford power. If I remember correctly though, it was running 10's.

food for though I don't think 30mpg is going to be realistic on a built 6.6. stock maybe. the main problem is a built diesel doesn't like to lug especially the 6.6 at low rpms like the 6spd will do. they tend to blow a lot of smoke and make little power because of no boost and having to much fuel. if your set on the mileage I would try and size a smaller turbo and build the motor to work in the rpm range you plan to cruise it so you at lest have some boost to keep making power there. the reason I bring this up is at 1.2k that motor is working harder then it needs to be because the motor was build to be a higher strung diesel with more top end.
however if your set on the power I'd keep the allison nad just build away.
