Default Convertible Shocks Different?

I ask because a few part stores specifically have convertible shocks listed. I figured convertible rear shocks would be the same as coupes/t-tops?

I hear the springs are the same, so I have a hard time believing the shocks are different as well.

I'm ideally looking for a decent shock for a good price lowered on BMR's 1.25" drop springs.

Nope, they are the same. Go with a quality shock, though. I am on my 3rd set of KYB Gas-A-Just on mine. They don't last on lowered cars.
