Default Vert question

Ive seen what seems to be a bar going across the back of the car when the top is down. I think it looks real good, What is it actually called and does it make a difference or is it just for looks?

Does nothing structurally, just has aesthetic value. Not sure if they are made any more; might be a used only item now. And to to note, you will need to cut/trim/notch your plastics. Most of the time when sold used they come with the modified plastics, you then send yours clean ones to the seller.

Its just for looks, offers no protection like a roll bar if that's what you're looking for.

I'm with Flippincamaro! For the same price you can get a 6 point and not only will it be useful, but it will look mean as ****! I just need to figure out how to incorporate a cage with my RKSport tonneau cover

I have the carbon fiber tonneau covers for my car. They came with it when I got it. I will try and grab some pictures of it tonight with them on. Mine are notched around the bars.....fitment is perfect!

here is a picture, dont know if you will be able to make them out or not...just to give you an idea....

Only thing I didn't like about the idea of a cage was not being able to use the rear seats (or at least not without a significant amount of difficulty) due to the bar that goes horizontally across right behind the front seats.

cage it! Wolfe (as I am sure others do) sells cages with swing out door bars as well as removable cross braces for access to the back seat.

Who did the front points and cross bar by the top of the windshield? I'm looking of adding those points to my 4pt bar once I get doing the ls swap into my car.

To the OP... go w/ the roll cage. I wish I went 6pt even though my car is 6cyl only for now but I will be adding the door points when time comes.

I got the car like that.....But we ended up cutting half the bars out and re-doing the bends on them.......Its all CM cage.....Plan to add a funny car cage in the very near future along with a parachute.....
