1999 TA build will begin this summer..... I am not sure yet if I will buy an RHS block and build the engine myself, or buy an ERL short block. At this moment I am leaning towards the ERL. This will be a street car build so I think the RHS block may be overkill. My goal is to have RWHP approaching 600 and then maybe a 100 or 150 shot on top of that. Undecided on size. either 427 or 442. Here is a list of the big items of the build just to give you an idea of what I am looking to do.....
427/442 short block
Trick Flow GenX or RHS pro elite heads
FAST 102 Throttle body and Intake
4L80e Trans
Strange S60 rear end (355 ish gears)
as far as cam specs, well that will be determined. My goal is to make as much RWHP as possible while still retaining very VERY nice idle and driving manners.
It will be the end of the year before the build is done. I should have the short block purchased by May. Once the family and I get back from vacation in late June the build will go into full swing. I have wanted to do a build like this for a long time. I am finally in the position financially to do it. Its gonna be FUN.
