From WS6.com. Anybody know about this?

this is true, The convertible floor pan is shaped differently and the formed subframe extends all the way to the rear. We still offer additional subframe connecters made of DOM tubing to reinforce the stock floor even more and prevent flex

all i know is my convertible rocked like a boat on water when i hit a bump until i added BMR welded subframe connectors. problem solved!

Thanks. I'd like to get them but I'd probably do bolt in. Labor for anything on my car is crazy here.

Bolt on ones can be welded on later if you decide to.

Also I will recommend sfc on the convertibles, it is night and days difference.

Now that I'm finally done with my LS6 Valley upgrade, I will pick up the UMI three point bolt ons. 👍

please post back the results, was it worth it, ride improvement wise?

I can tell you it might take a few months just to get the funds up, but I have spoken to people first hand -one friend that had a 99T-top Camaro and one with the 2000 TA vert. They both put 2point weld in subframe connectors on and they could not stress how much of a difference having the connectors was. Since I'm not a welder I'm going to have to go the bolt-on way. Keep in mind the guy with the 2000 TA vert races the car on the track, and says that the standard two point subframe connectors did not stop the creasing of the sail panel area on the 1/4 panels. Otherwise they both offered improvements in ride and stiffness of the chassis.

That will work for me, I think our car will be put up for the winter soon enough so I'll be looking to do the SFC and shocks in the spring.

My 2000 vert handled bumps like a wet noodle. I'd run over railroad tracks and could feel the whole chassis flexing like mad. After throwing on UMI three points (nothing against BMR, I just got a killer deal locally on barely used UMI) it was a night and day difference. Make no mistake, I still feel it flex a ton, but it's a very noticeable improvement and about the best it's going to get without getting into ridiculous modifications to stiffen it.
