Default Anybody have this indentation, is it normal?

I don't want to eventually puncture the top.

Not seeing a picture other than your car in your sig. Maybe describe the indentation and where it is located?

I fixed the picture with some Photobucket patch, it should work now. Do you see that big fat indentation?

No, it is not 'normal'. You can get temporary crease marks on the top when it is put back up after being down but they go away and don't remain. My original top is now 17 years old and it is smooth in that area. Sorry but something must be amiss.

I didn't think it was normal. I will see if it is on the other side as well. I am thinking the frame is putting pressure on it somehow.

Mine is doing that as well. I need to have a shop look at it to make sure that it's properly aligned

Are there adjustments to align the frame? For starters I will pit a piece of painters tape over the indented spot to try and locate what is hitting it.

Is it possible its getting pinched and stretched when its put down? I'm always paranoid about this, my '70 Cutlass' top would get pinched if I wasn't careful to make sure the folds were not getting caught in the top mechanism as it went down. I got in the habit of putting the top 3/4 of the way down, then checking the folds of both the liner and top material and moving them out of the way of the mechanism if necessary, then putting it the rest of the way down.

The painters tape trick sounds like a great idea. Good luck on finding the problem, let us know what you find.

You could be right. I would stop the power top on my 1969 Camaro 3/4 way down and adjust the to and the pads.
