Default Changing the rear speakers.

Hey all, I’m considering replacing the entire stereo system in my 2000 T/A convertible. I’m considering replacing the rear fill speakers with 8” shallow mount subs. I know all about the limitations with the top going up and down. Has anybody here already tried this with any success?

With essentially no baffle in those locations, don't expect your subs to go very low. You'd be better off bi-amping separate subs and use the existing 6.5" co-axes as mid/high. That's how my system is setup.

You'd be better off getting one of those spare tire subs.
