Default Rubber pads on roof latches

In another thread I got a little side tracked talking about those rubber pads
on the roof latches. Somewhere along the way, mine came off this summer.
Probably a combination of black car, hot weather, and high speeds.

Anyway, the part number for #57 appears to be 10284233 INSU F/TP.
It looks like a peel & stick item.
According to GMPartsDirect, list is $3.81. Their price is $2.24, but there's a
$10 shipping charge. (shipping costs tend to be a little high for that first
item.) Looks like a trip to the dealer for me.

Went to the Pontiac dealer.

The "insulators" are available and I ordered 2 for $4 each. The part number is correct.

I'm pretty sure we all have them. But maybe they aren't rubber... they were gone pretty quick. Besides, GM calls them "insulators". They could be anything.

They are rubber as well as pel and stick. Mine fell off, and all they are soft thumb pads for opening the latches, and may provide some protection the visor mirror covers from scratches.

I was thinking the same... Mine had been gone most of the summer.
I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost.
The trick will be making sure they don't keep falling off.
