Congrats, 9’s is flat moving!
Good looking car.
How do you like the face plating tranny and how does it drive on the street?

I love my liberty face plated t-56. I have no complaints on the street. To me a "hot rod" is suppose to be harder to drive than a caddy. On the strip it is butter!

3200 lbs including the cage - that's some serious weight reduction.
Very nice looking

Are those bars legal for 9 sec? I thought you needed a 10 pt system

Thanks! there's still a lot more weight to go too: sound deadening, airbags, crossbars, entire wire harness replaced with a standalone FAST system, rear bumper bracket, manual brakes, Strange drag brakes, wiper motor...and so on. My goal is under 3100 lbs (no driver).

I think my 8 point is good to 9.5 but not sure. Steel Concepts did the chromoly cage and he's going to make a 10 then 12 point when neccessary.

Thanks! Mid-nines are well within reach. I want to go with 3:90 gears (currently 3:73's), 250 pill, shift light, two step, and some track time.

Got any pics with the top down? I've never seen a vert with a cage and the top down.

Thanks! there's been a lot of weight reduction to help with the weight I've had to add such as: 8 point chromoly cage, sub-frame connectors, madman chassis mounted torque arm, custom anti roll bar and LCA's, 12 bolt, D/S, DP nitrous system with 2- 10 pound bottles.

The big weight reductions were; HVAC delete, tire and wheels, mad man manual rack, front bumper bracket delete, front sway bar delete, springs and shocks, K-Member, ABS, cruise control, Jazz seats, rear seat delete...those are the main ones I can recall.

I want to keep it looking stockish so all I've got left is: sound deadening, airbags, crossbars, entire wire harness replaced with a standalone FAST system, rear bumper bracket, manual brakes, Strange drag brakes, wiper motor...and so on. My goal is under 3100 lbs (no driver).

i believe that rollbar isn't legal for that time. 13.9 or slower is a rollbar no less than 5pt. A cage is necessary when running under a 10.99 or 135mph. So maybe your track tech was is alot nicer than what im usually dealing with!!

However, i dont want to take away from this thread. Your car is just unbelieveably amazing. Engine looks flawless and interior is clean. Weight is retarded as well!!

Job well done!!!
