Project 402 00 FRC begins w/tomorrows pickup
I am proud to announce that after a long wait ( saving money ) my 2000 FRC is off to LG Motorsports for a nice dose of steroids. 490 rwhp and 445 rwtq from the old 346 just wasn't enough. So an LS2 based 402 is being built and installed in my car. To keep costs down my afr 205's will be reused, along with my cam g5x3vII aka g6x3. My ported 90 setup is coming off and will be FOR SALE to make room for a nice new PORTED 92 mm FAST from RON at Vengeance Racing, and a 95 mm TB from RevXtreme courtesy of Ron at Vengeance. Thanks for the hook up Ron, I really appreciate it.
Now back to the build, forged internals will be from LGM's Callies Power PKG which includes Callies 4" inch crankshaft, Callies compstar rods, and Mahle Pistons. Shooting for similar compression to what the 346 had (11.5 : 1). My Meziere EWP and ASP ud pully will also be swapped over. Only other change to the car will be the B&B bullets are coming off to make room for LGM's big 3. Almost forgot that my SVO 30#r's will be for sale as well to make room for the 42#r's going on to make sure I don't run out of fuel.
At any rate wish me luck as I am hoping for a little more rwhp, and a good amount more torque. Not going to put any exact numbers out there but I would hope that my numbers come in around 500+ rwhp and close to 500 rwtq. Now its just a game of wait and see. Not sure how long its going to take but I'll try my hardest to be patient.
Last but not least thanks to Lou and Louis Gigliotti for taking care of all my car issues dating back to 2005, also Bobby, Sean, and Anthony for being so patient and putting up with all my questions. The after care from LG Motorsports is why I send other people too them. Gotta love a company that stands behind there work.
Results will be posted in another thread, and any questions about the intake/tb or injectors for sale PLEASE PM, don't ask in the thread. Thanks.

So exciting, thanks for posting up. Your car made crazy power with the stock cubes I hope your 402 does the same, I look forward to seeing the results.
A nice setup for sure.
Thanks for sharing. Good Luck with the swap.

Several members have done 402 / afr 205 combos with various cams and have made 490-520 rwhp with 475-500+ rwtq. LGM also has a customer that did something very similar to what I am doing and he made 502 rwhp 498 rwtq, so I am hopeful that with the extra things I have (asp ud pully and EWP) I should be close to that.

All PMs answered.
Got a local guy in Garland, TX which is near Wylie, TX (home of LG MOTORSPORTS) that is willing to pick up. If he and I can't agree on a price then its still available, but a sale is pending.

All PM s answered. Its late and I am exhausted, will check tomorrow.
Sales update, got 2 strong potential buyers, one local to LGM so intake/tb may be gone and the injectors might be gone if buyer can give LGM cc info or pre pay with a check.
Good night and thanks for all the votes of confidence, and everyone that is trying to help me get my stuff sold. Thanks.

Doug,
If you are looking to get some more out of your heads, I can get you in touch with the guy who did my afr 205s. He was able to get them to flow like an afr 225 for a really good price. I was able to pick up accross the entire board cfm wise after he got done with them.

Hey Allegn...just finished my 402...sitting in the garage, ready to drop in hopefully in the next 4 weeks. Under time crunch because of work and in no real hurry.

I went with 11:1 and kept my cam down somewhat for the street. Pete Incaudo did all my head and Fast work and designed the cam. Still hoping for some good numbers from all his hard work on the top end.
Post some pics of yours Bro... when she is going again !! Good Luck.

Thanks pitt !!! I think my compression is going to be a bit higher (11.5:1) give or take a tenth or two. I don't remember the amount of relief in my pistons off hand so I am not totally sure. Other variables as well as in which gasket will get used. Depending on available funds I haven't decided whether or not the 205s are going to be opened up to take full advantage of the 4 inch bore. Everything will be posted in the results thread once the motor is done, installed and final tuning is complete. STAY TUNED !!!

I dont remember the low/mid range numbers, but pre port, they were at 296cfm at .600. After the port, they were 321cfm at .600. I picked up a ton underneath as well, but i do not remember what.

Last update for awhile.
Car left an hour or so ago and won't be at LGM until Monday. Hopefully have some info for everyone next week around Friday, maybe sooner.
Can't wait until I get the call that she's done. Going to be the longest few weeks ever.

Good luck dealing with LG I've heard nothing but bad things about their work.
