Cheaper exhaust alternatives?
Getting ready to start batch one of mods on the C5. I've pretty much decided on the TSP LTs since they are the cheapest I could find. Will probably run their X-pipe as well but not too sure.
Main problem is with the cat-backs. I can't justify spending over like $500 on it. Preferably I'd like to spend less than that but you know how it is with these cars. Anyone have a link to 'decent/cheap' C5 cat-backs?

by some V band flanges/clamps,...buy some 3" steel(or purchase it at exhaust shop)pipeing....... and some 3" bullet mufflers. You can mock and of the style catbacks if you wanted, as far as to give you an idea of location. Bullet mufflers can be very cheap,...like 40 each,...figure 70 bucks in clamps,.....coat them with a heat resistant paint,..or even wrap them or,...jet hot coat.
anyways,....thats what i'd do. Catbacks are soo expensive,...it pays to just go custom.
Or,...you can do cutouts.

you can also do the "bypass mod" to your stock mufflers like other guys have done, although its more popular to do with the Ti mufflers that come on the c5 z06's. Just do a search for "bypass mod, mufflers" and it should come up.

Yep...the TSP LT/X-pipe setup is made to bolt up to the Ti or regular C5 pipes. That is another option is to put on a used Ti system since they flow very well. I think they go for around $400. I'm finishing up my FLP LT/ORX install this weekend and am looking forward to hearing it through the Ti's. I know it won't be as loud as most aftermarket mufflers but I'm not after anything really loud.

I have TSP headers and B&B bullets it sounds amazing plus I think you can get the bullets alot cheaper now then when I bought mine I think I have 1400 or less in the whole system 7 something for the headers and 5 something in the catback not bad then the dyno tune to get it all right

I have stock mufflers with the bypass mod added. This with LT's to me are the way to go. Alot cheaper than a Cat-Back. With the 500 you save you can buy a cam....

if you want cheap go with Z06 titaniums. they sound great with a LT's X-pipe car trust me i had them. Only reason i went different is because my mufflers had been cut from the guy i bought them off. I couldn't find a welder to weld Ti so i tried clamping and it didn't work well. So i gave up on 'em and went back to my B&B Bullets

The hooker exhaust is the cheapest. TI with the bypass sounds so badass! The first mod i did to my c5 after lowering it was to cut 2 golfball size holes in the mufflers. It sounds kinda ghetto to say that but the exhaust note was great for bone stock. I have LTs now with a bassani x-pipe and still run the same "modded" stock catback. Now it sounds insane (in a good way). It does drone horribly but the sound is more than worth it to me
