Rear Pad Replacement?

I feel silly asking but is there anything I need to have tool wise to just swap the rear pads? Never changed a corvette brake pad in my life...:emb:

You should just need a c clamp.

Cole Train 02-20-2009 05:52 PM

yep nothing special, c-clamps OR a brake piston compressor. That is all:)

You have a 08 vette BRAND NEW still and you need to change the rear brakes wow you mush have a really fast ass car bro .

^^^LOL, yeah that too. I'm putting Akebono's on the back just like the fronts have had for since 1000 miles. Never have I seen a dustier pad than the POS stock pads. When was the last time you saw any car with more brake dust on the back wheels than the front. Phuggin' looks like ass!

Instead of the C clamp, Channel Lok makes a huge pair of pliers that are easier to work with, plus it has tons of other uses. Good luck. You will be surprised how easy it is.

Wow...that took all of 40 minutes. :)

Thanks for the clues fellers!
