Differences in MAF's ... 00 & 01
 

I have a 2000 C5 cpe with a stock MAF sensor, stock TB, feed by a Callaway Honker. Nearing the completion of my winter mod project. New set-up will be FAST92 intake with LS2 TB. Did purchase the silicone coupler for between the TB and the MAF. The mouth of the LS2 TB is larger than my stock 78mm. So now the narrow end that slips over MAF seems a bit too large. Callaway says now I'll need the MAF from 01 to 04. Okay, I'll bite, I just hope the diameter of the mouth on the 01 MAF is the same as my 00 MAF or I'll have issues tying into the rest of the Honker....:bang:

Anyone out there have any experience with this particular set-up. Callaway makes different units, yrs 97 to 00, and 01 to 04.

I can always try and smooth out the fit between my stock coupler and the LS2 TB...

The 01-04 maf OD is larger but you may be able to just grab another aftermarket smooth coupler that will go from the CAI to the MAF just like the MAF to the TB. 2 couplers if you will. That should be the easiest solution. You will need an 85mm maf (01-04) for the 90mm LS2 tb.

Okay, an 85mm MAF it will be.
Must decide between SLP's unit or a GM unit for 02 - 04 ZO6. Both are comparable in price and I know the SLP comes with the harness. I don't know if the GM would be plug an play...??

I would grab the SLP one since you will need the adapter and it must be calibrated, I believe. Either way, I would grab the SLP.
