Default Race Proven Motorsports 9.46@143 Stock LS7!!

We installed a 4l80E in a customers car from Quebec. The car ran a best of 9.9 at 143 before when it was a 6 speed once. It was consistant 10.0 car. It had a Vararam, Twin Disc clutch and a 185 shot.

We installed an RPM 4L80E Swap, Qa1 Shocks and a CCW Drag Pac and he added Headers and bumped it to a 200 shot. I couldnt beleive when i heard what he ran.

9.46@143.8 mph
6.05 @ 114.1
1.32 60'

This was also the first time out. Alittle more tuning and i think it can go 9.2-9.3

We are talking about adding a cam and trying to get into the 8's on a STOCK besides cam LS7

Final number last week, with the same rich tune, low timing:

1.32 60'
5.97 @ 116 mp/h 1/8
9.34@ 143.8 mp/h

Rich afr and low timing hurt the 1/4 mp/h. Better time to come stay tune.

Later,
Sébastien

Congrats. Another 6 speed gone bad. Although it is impressive, and your goals are even more soo..... i'm a diehard 6 speed dude. I know, I know, I know(powerlevel/parts breakage/consistency,etc),.....not bashing you, or any auto,.....I know.... just wish it was still a six speed darn it. Please don't take this as a negative post,....again, a sincere congrats,....

....but a six speed would be the bee's knees.

Best wishes with your 8 second et's.... that'd be very impressive with that mod list.

Details ??? Seems like everyone hits a wall with these at about 9.6-9.7x and moves on to an Auto. Like the previous poster,i like the manual, even though I know I am giving up some time on the track.

I know you guys love your manual, and I was the same way, but once your car gets to a certain speed, an auto is a must. I thought I'd hate my auto conversion but when your car runs 9's, an auto is mighty fun, and necessary...I never miss my clutch, never...

Awesome work Sébastien!

Awesome work Sébastien!
Your right, and I know it. It kinda sucks though, and I still waver between a bulletproof PG setup and a potentially expensive 4L80 conversion that seem to have little problems here and there.

Its not cheap, but my car has 200+ nine and low 10 second passes without even changing the fluid. And I only have the 4L60e (RPM level 5)

when the car was a 9.9 car with just a clutch, intake and shot, what tires did it run? did you change the tires with the drag pack (other than size)? those are impressive times both before and after the auto

Decisions ! I only want to do this once(yeah, famous last words!) I will wait to see what Fran has in store for the six speed setup, perhaps another vette needs to be built ? Leave mine alone and start over ?
