How or why?

Big power cars dont like like alot of gear. A big gear and big power just means you are blowing the tires off. I am talking about a street car. Also the track cars that you see running big gears are usually running a big tire. Big tires lower the gear ratios back down.

The only problem I see is that much power is basically for braging right. No way to get it hooked up while driving around.
