Hmmmmmmmmmm.......that is funny-they will be surprised when that car hits the streets i promise you that!! I myself think that they are underestimating the Z though. That 427 is going to kick some major ***!!!

I can't believe one of them said something about the price...LOL! It's still cheaper than a Viper. Of course there are the Viper owners who believe nothing is better than Viper. The truth will be known soon enough...LOL!
Also you may remember a previous thread where when asked about the new upcoming C6 Z06 they said it would never have 500 hp and that it was all a bunch of hype. Basically they have already eaten crow and are more cautious about what they say concerning the new z06.

All those viper guys drooling themselves over this new Z. I mean come on, the largest small block ever produced? Everyone has to want one. That guy is complaining its not a 10 second stock car. If Gm put a 10 second ET in their brochure. The **** would hit the fan. People would worry about dependiblity and such. I think that 11.7 at 127 is a very respectable number. I cant wait to see what one of those does w/say a blower or nitrous or even little mods and a good driver. That is one tough car.

The Viper aint a 10 sec car stock either, so whatever his point was w/ that is moot. 11.7 @ 127 is more than respectable for a street car, and one thats more suited for the twisties. No disrespect to the Viper, but the new Z is going to own just about anything else in its class, and then some .

with a 127 trap speed the car is quiet capable of running 10s. drop the front sway bar, put some slicks on, change the shocks. itll run tens then, may not even have to change the shocks.

That was pretty funny.... the *** hat that started the thread was doggin' on the new Z cuz it wasn't a 10 sec. car from the factory. Just because the mags call the old Z a high 12 sec. car and a good driver gets it into the 11's.....DOES NOT MEAN that a high 11 sec car is gonna run 10's w/ a good driver. The laws of diminishing returns applies here.....


I'm not sure what the point of the thread was, but the viper owners are a bunch of stuck up *** clowns...... Funny, probably the same way the f-body guys think of vette owners....



The new Z is gonna kill the viper....bottom line. Mark my words.

I was surprised at how many reasonable posts there were. But, the one that made me laugh out loud was the guy who thought that because the Viper is hard to drive that it was a virtue and that the Corvette somehow was a bad car because it was easier to drive.
