supermaxx's and halltech stinger

about to install these on my vette, around how much horsepower gains should i see

Nautilus Oct 9, 2005 07:20 AM

I don't like to guess HP gains, but it should sound mean as f#*k with the supermaxx and loudmouths! Your going t need a tune once you have that stuff installed to see the full potential of those mods, the headers and intake can really screw with your air fuel, keep us posted with the outcome :)

I installed an exhaust similar to yours, but used the Magnaflow. After a tune with the handheld, car posted 351/360. The only other mods at the time were free TB bypass, crane 1.8 rockers, donaldson and VHP thermostat. Healthy A4 baseline is about 290 rwhp.

TigerSharkVette Oct 11, 2005 07:46 PM

yeah im trying to get them installed tommorow and im looking around for a tuner

smask04C5 Oct 11, 2005 07:49 PM

Look at the VHP/Crane handheld, good piece

TigerSharkVette Oct 11, 2005 08:10 PM

do i ahve to like upload things onot it or anything like that

Nautilus Oct 11, 2005 08:17 PM

Just find a good tuner who can tune it on the dyno... it's the only way to go. Check the sponsers, I'm sure you can find someone close to you. It will be money well spent! :)

TigerSharkVette Oct 11, 2005 08:26 PM

yeah their are some not real close but gotta do whatcha gotta do

CarsRFun Oct 12, 2005 12:31 PM

you car is going to be LOUD.. my guess with tune 350ish give or take 5

EVIL Oct 12, 2005 01:04 PM

i dont know about hp, but i have almost the same mods in an a4 vert and ran 11.9's at 114. it may only dyno 320 at the wheels, but at the track and on the street is what matters to me.

TigerSharkVette Oct 13, 2005 08:59 PM

i put my halltech in last night and nocticed minor horsepower changes and dinatech didnt send a part so ill be picking up the car tommrow and seeing what these headers can do

TigerSharkVette Oct 14, 2005 05:04 PM

i got my car back today with the headers and its loud at wot but when is ideling or low rpms its quieter than before, anyone know why this could happen

z06matt Oct 14, 2005 08:25 PM

Do you still have all of your cats? Mine got louder for sure when I installed the supermax headers with high flow cats.

TigerSharkVette Oct 15, 2005 09:35 AM
