biggest tires on 01 c5?

anyone know the biggest tire size i can run on my stock 01 c5 rim for the rears? would a 305 fit with no problems?

I run 315's on z06 rims and you can still fit a finger between the tire and wheel well..

you should be ok with a 305, I know that with a z06 back rim the biggest you can go is a 315, and I believe a c5 wheel is a lil smaller.
Hope that helps

On STOCK C5 wheels...I run 295's. Certain brands, ast differently on the wheel. Some are wider,...etc. For example, I had Goodyear F1's(factory stock C5 Z06) and they buldged slightly. Now, I have PILOTS....same size, yet, the wheels are nearly as wide.

295-35-18's.

Haven't tried 305's yet.

I have 335-30-18's michelin pilot sports on my 18x10.5 Z06 motorsports. And yes they bulge out some but thats ok with me.

on a stock c5 wheel id think you'd have some trouble with a 305

On stock C5 (non Z06) wheels the largest size tire you want to go with on the rear is 295/35. Even this is larger than recommended for a 9.5” wheel, but it has been proven to work fine.

A 265/40 or 275/40 is recommended for the front to keep the front to rear tire height differential in the correct range (to keep the active handling and traction control functioning properly).

I also ran 295's on my C-5 9.5" rims. Worked great.

I run 335/18 nittos drags on my stock Z06 10.5" rear wheels. yes they bulge a bit but hook great! I had 335/18 Pilot sports on the wheels before and they DID NOT bulge. Also 305/18 nittos fit the stock Z06 wheels perfectly.
