stock C5 Z06 in the 11's.
 

i remember seeing on here, that somebody had driven there car into the very high 11's, like 11.8, or 11.9, or something, 100% stock.

I have seen 2 guys do it personally on stock tires. Jrod has the record at 11.78 on the forums at least.
My other buddy has run 11.2x with just bolt-ons.

The stock tires are not runflats and if heated and with proper technique are good for low 1.7x's.

There are quiet a few that have hit the 11's. Ranger, who posts here and on the vette forums, has the lowest stock et known or close to it at 11.7sec 100% stock. That was not a one time thing either. Here lowered that to 11.55sec with DR and CAI. Robert who lives up here has hit the 11's in stock form and 11.7sec with DR and CAI. He lowered that to 11.0 with a 125shot.

There was a guy that goes by the name Powershifter who ran an 11.9x in his bone stock 01' Z06. Then ran 11.7x in his bone stock 02' Zo6. All runs were at New England Drag way in Epping NH and on stock tires. :drive:

There was this article in GMHTP, bone stock, stock tires, didn't even check the tire pressure according to the article.

Has there been any C6's in the 11's? I thought they were supposed to be almost identical in performance?

probably, they are sick fast, I've seen a few low 12s from average drivers before. Makes you wonder is C5s are going 11s stock, C6s might see 10s stock :)

The quickest bone stock C6 so far is 12.2. Even though the rated horsepower is almost the same, the C6 is not as quick as a C5 Z06 in the quarter mile. The C5 Z06 is a little bit lighter, and does actually put down more rwhp than the C6.

I don't understand why you even made this silly comment. :eyes:

1. Stock C5 Z06 doesn't come with runflats.

2. There are several, including GMperformance have gotten high 11s with bone stock C5 Z06. Maybe you should learn to drive your 414 rwhp car into 11s before you start talking BS.

These cars are just awsome for what you get... I think all of us need lessons from RobZ ;)
