Thinking of 4.10's
 

How do you MN6 guys shift through the gears with 4.10's.

I've read someone went from 1st to 3rd around town. How about just going to 4th like GM wants us to?

Now that I've had the 4.10's, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
I do agree that its a great sotp mod and now I can even use 6th gear more than ever!

I normally do 1st to 3rd to 5th. I just like those better than 1st to 4th to 5th or 6th. I have a z06 with 3.90s.

i also shift mine 1st to 3rd. When I first got her, i did the 1st to 4th for like a day and didn't like doin it at all. 1st to 3rd is much better, i got stock gears in there. I want to put some 4.11's in there this winter. Anyone got any input on em in these cars? Im sure they are a great way to go, i had 4.11's in my camaro but it was a a4 and god it was a monster

My cammed 'Hawk used to have 4.11's, I'd always skip two gears whatever they may be...

Then I went turbo and raised the ratio,(3.42) and I still skip gears although not as often.

I've got 4.10s and although I guess I could skip gears I don't. I've got a Z51 and my first gear is lower than most vettes also. Guess I just like shifting. 70mph is 2100 rpm in 6th.

same here I have 4.10s in my 03 ZO6 and I dont skip any gears either. Although I have started off in 3rd gear a couple times

I always pretend to be a big rig driver and run through all six gears between 0 and 45 mph.

heheh. it doesn't hurt anything to skip gears like 1-3 does it? I wouldn't think so... Im really considering a set of 4.11's for the car since they really wake the car up
