Roll cage Q's
 

In a convertible you have to have a roll cage if running faster than 13.99(NHRA)/13.49(IHRA), correct? In that case,
1) Are there any cages/bars where the top is removable so the ragtop can still be put up?
2) If so, are they still legal?

I would imagine the cage would be built initially so you can have the top on. Not sure on your tracks rules but I see 11 sec drop tops all the time in Byron Ill, And Union Grove WI (great lakes Dragway).

East Coast Supercharging has built roll bars for people with Verts that still allow the top to be functional.

I thought I read something about a minimum height over the top of the helmet? Incidentally, I haven't checked to see if even a helmet will fit with the top up yet. :(

There must be more room under the top than I give it credit for, All the pics just look like the bar is taller than the top. Oh well. :)

How much of a pain is the install?
