Couple of quick ? about C6's...
 

I have a friend who is trying to decide to buy a C6 vs. a blown Mustang, but he's got a few questions....
What do C6's put down new as far as power (6 speed auto) and what do they run in the 1/4? How do they respond to mods? Anyone wish they wouldn't have bought theirs?

I test drove a SC Cobra before I bought my current C6, and as far as I'm concerned there is very little comparison. at the end of the day, it's just another mustang IMO. the vette is just a much nicer ride.

as far as mods, LSx engines love mods. Cobras love mods as well. a smaller pully and a chip swap seem to make a hell of a difference.

I'm not really a mod-a-holic, so I'll let the others expand in that arena.

I would recommend you/he test drive both, and I bet the vette comes home with you.

I had a 06 C6 vert A6 and it went 12.70 at 111mph bone stock with 2.2 60'. I was still learning to launch it when I decided I had bought the wrong car. I traded it in for an 07 C6 Z06 and Love it! You won't be able to pry the keys out of my cold dead hand unless the Blue Devil comes out.

I don't mean to sound rude but a Blown Mustang is still just a Mustang and everyone knows that the vette gets em wet!

The chassis/suspension on the Corvette will run circles around any street Mustang out there, stock or modified.

I'd take a stock C6 over a heavily modded Mustang anyday....


That's like comparing an F-body (modded or not) to a C6... there's just no comparison in the overall package.

Hell, I'd take a stock C5 over a blown Mustang...... no contest. :judge:
