DR's

I want to save my ass... and the Z's.

Those of you running DR's... who's do you have and how do you like them?

The car will be to the track once I have everything buttoned up enough that I trust I won't break anything. Maybe 1 or 2 trips a year to the track but otherwise it's a street car, driven 1500-3000 miles a year with a bit of lively driving.

dont put anything on it besides MT et streets... only drag radial with soft enough sidewall to stop wheel hop. anything else you will hop and break (for the most part)

did i miss something? i thought mt hadn't released the et streets in 18's yet? if they have that makes the choice a lot easier because that's what i'd been leaning toward

I'm running Nitto 555 R's in 305 30 18's. I have a 402 + 150 shot and I do ok as far as traction goes.

This isn't for the track, this is for street driving. I'm running right at 500 rwhp and the F1's won't hook for shit = no fun driving the car.

I just want to be able to do some spirited driving without fear of tearing up the rear.

What he said.

555R's are way too hard for vettes from 90% of the people ive talked to... i didnt realize you needed an 18" tire my mistake.

if your going to get anything for street tires get some BFG's or even better, get some toyo RA-1's. i ran them on my car and she hooked up beautifully. they were pretty pricey but i was running 315/40/18's(?? not totally sure on size) on my stock rear vette wheels and they looked sick and hooked even better.

ive had good luck with my 335 nitto DRs
