Default 315/30/18 or 295/35/18 BFGs

I just did a H/C install and need to get a set of drag radials before I hit the track. The car is an 2002 Z06. I bought a used set of 315/30/18 BFG and used them for 12 passes, however, I noticed the right rear tire barely touches the rear brake duct. I can see a mark on the duct from the tire rubbing.

Has this happened to anyone else? Should I just stay with the 315's or get the stock size BFG 295s?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I tubbed my Vette 3 yrs ago and used 345/35/18 tires. They rubbed through my innner fender liners. So what I'm getting at is the larger footprint prbably won't help you out that much so go for the 295's.

I would get the 315s cause I think 295s are too narrow on our cars

I agree. Go with the 315 and 1/4" space to solve the rubbing issue.
