1.575 60ft=11.314@124.22mph@ Capital today
Well had alot of fun today at the Corvette day. The track prep seemed decent. The only hold back was lack of water in the burnout box and spiratic location of starting the burnout. The car wanted to kick out alot cause you are burning out up hill slightly. I was able to meet alot of fellow forum members and even the legend "RANGER" I didnt get to see how his pass's went... i'm sure they went nicely as usual. Well let me post up what the car ran. Not what i wanted but atleast a new best. I wanted low 11.2's at 125-126mph range was the goal. I fell short though.
1st PASS-track feeler
60ft-1.683
330ft-4.857
1/8th-7.431
1/8th-96.42mph
1000ft-9.635
1/4mi-11.461
1/4mi-125.27mph
2nd PASS
60ft-1.624
330ft-4.772
1/8th-7.333
1/8th-97.01mph
1000ft-9.537
1/4mi-11.363
1/4mi-125.32mph
3rd PASS
60ft-1.614
330ft-4.752
1/8th-7.331
1/8th-97.41mph
1000ft-9.515
1/4mi-11.339
1/4mi-125.35mph
4th PASS---NEW BEST EVERYTHING but MPH
60ft-1.575
330ft-4.703
1/8th-7.265
1/8th-96.66mph
1000ft-9.483
1/4mi-11.314
1/4mi-124.22mph
I'll figure out the DA then. I heard it was 600+DA on my 1st pass at 68deg's and then the temps crept up to 70-71deg's most of the day and a slight headwind to cross wind. Not sure how they figure the track is 200ft above sea level when you have to drive up a rather steep hill to get to the track but thats what is stated. I'm sure once i get the 60ft down to 1.50 range and some track days in the 50* days I'll see a 11.1x range hopefully.

Damn bro, I want you to come drive my car !!! Come put my POS into the high 10's please !!
Congrats on your very quick and very fast times. I am GREEN with envy. Maybe I can upgrade to some M/T's when the Nittos are no longer usable.

Thanks alllgn_c5... it really just comes with going to the track alot, dont be afraid of breaking and be aggressive. I still dont flat shift the car by any means but not leaving off all the way either. Improve your launch technique and shifting. On the street I do little bursts here and there when in a clearing of no cars and down shift to 2nd and run up through 4th quickly just for practice. Pro's like Ranger goes down gets the car up to 100deg's and shuts the car down and sits in the garage, aligns all the gears with a slow row through and then pratices. I must say I've done it a couple times myself now after seeing his results. I always run through the gears before each pass with the car off and theres always prep before you go to the track. I change clutch fluid, clean my MAF electrodes, change oil, make sure the fuel level is going to be around 1/4tank when i get to the track, no extra items in the car other then necessary, make sure my air filter is clean etc. Minor things that do make a difference. One day I will be like my hero ROBZ and have a 10sec NA car with a little 346ci stock bottom end.

Nice runs! Corvette day at Capital is always a good time. I’m sorry I missed it this year. We’re just starting to come into good racing weather. Hopefully you’ll get a 10 second pass in the near future.
