Z06 assembily
Z06 assembily I just got done watching a program where they showed how they make the new Z06. I am amazed at some of the things they do to them at the factory. I never realized that they were actually hand built. From the engine to the body.
I'm still in awe with some of the things they do to put it together. And for its price as well.
I want one...

The C6 Z06 is a much different car than the earlier C5 Z06's were compared to the stock Vettes.
Yes.. it has the new LS7 427 cu.in. engine but that's only the beginning.The C5 Z06 was really a base Corvette with a hot rodded engine and stiffened suspension.
I was amazed at all the Z06 specific suspension and powertrain parts on the C6 (even marked with Z06 id), when I got it home and put it on a lift. All the bolts are torqued & then checked ( a paint stripe is added when checked) as the car is assembled.
The C6 Z06 is well worth the extra charge over the base model, you are getting an entirely different Corvette/except for the interior.
