It's local but, I thought it was cool. Thought this was pretty neat,..and probably the closest thing i'll ever get to being in a magazine or being famous. A local automotive forum recently made my ride the car of the month. Although local,...very honored to accept. Check it out if you've got a minute or two. -J http://www.southfloridaracing.com/ |

You know what would be cooler.....if we installed the supercharger from my car onto yours....so you can make that kind of power. Bastard. That way i'd be 5 steps closer to the current project at hand....which you know is going to be a pain in the ass. See you at the deathstar... |

Congrats bro!! Our local corvette club made the magazine "Corvette Quarterly" but they put our picture in what it seemed to be like a thumbnail on the corner of one of the pages. But hey, our cars were in a magazine! Quick Question? How were you able to lower the radiator to allow for the pipes to go over?? Sorry for the thread rip, just PM me if you can. |
In my threads we can go off topic as many times as you'd like....from woman to mars..whatever. What I did, to get the radiator lower,... Ok, you know the brackets, where the radiator sits? You CUT those off,...as well as the BAR that holds them(should be about a 1' x 1' square tube that is attached to these... and you move them, 6 inches forward. What this does is,...since your moving the bottom of the radiator forward, and the top, is staying in it's same position(not moving forward),....it lowers the heigth of the radiator support. By, obviously lowering the heigth of the radiator, it's now going to give you more room between the radiator and the hood. Soo, NO MORE squashed airbridge. I have suffered no cooling issues with this mod,...nor have I had any more ground clearence issues that I haven't already had. I do, use the little rollerskate wheels on the front of my car..to help with any slants or driveways that are inclined more then my car is capable of handling. I'll do another reply with the pictures of what I did...or some of them anyways. |

Now, the square bar, is now infront of the small black lip spoiler. It used to sit behind it. You WILL have to bend your AC line, which is easy, when done slowly.... and you will need to custom configure some new coolant hoses. Very easy...just takes a good eye, and a little time. Radiator is very easily removed...hardest thing to do is drain the coolant...completely. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i8...h/PICT0414.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i8...h/PICT0342.jpg |
