Default Best performing 05 C6? Corvette advice needed.

Guys I am now considering an 05-06 C6 M6 and needed to find out what options to look FOR and what options to stay away from. Going TFS heads/cam/Kooks-LG full exhaust and going for 500-520rwhp. They are cheap now. Any help would be appreciated.

Z51? Heads up?

The rear diff and shafts have alot of breakage reports from the 05s, so I'd stick the the 06's, about the same money, either way. Z51 handles a bit better, but if you're gonna do aftermarket exhaust and coolers anyways, I wouldn't worry with it. The coolers are a plus though when getting a Z51, which, btw, is barely more than a base in the used sales dept. Besides what you list, having a really good tune that removes the TM is ultra important. I'll say this, 425-450rwhp in a C6 is very comparable to 550 rwhp in a 4th gen Fbody or 550-600+rwhp in a newer Mustang.

Use the Vette's strenght , which is weight, to improve on your speed without upping the power. There's lightweight batteries, brakes, etc, as well as seats and doing unnessecary parts removal to reduce weight.

I was hoping you would stop in. Im not sure but I may have to stick to an 05 and hope for the best. They are at $29-30K right now. Im thinking 500+rwhp on an 05-06 would run 130mph traps. Thanks for your help. Can I replace the half shafts from an 06 if I break them?
