Default Need you guys' help.

There's an ignorant bastard on a local forum that says that it is impossible for a stock LS1 F-Body to run 12s. All of us here know that people have pulled it off but he seems to think they run mid to high 13s stock.

Does anyone have a time slip or a link to a post of someone with a stock Z28 running a 12.9?

I would get real satisfaction from putting this kid in his place.

What do you consider stock?
No lid, DR's, suspension work, CAI, no tuning. Just like it left the factory?

If so, he is probably right.

I don't have a link to a slip but my friend went 12.9s with a 1.9x 60ft with a bone stock 2002 Camaro SS. Had all of the SLP options but was still factory stock. It is doable you just need really good air and a really good driver.

They can easily be 14 sec cars with a bad driver. A stock 6 speed car can run between 12.9 and 14.5.

It is possible, but in all my years at the track I have never seen a bone stock LS1 hit
12s 95% are mid to high 13s, even with a few mods. Ive seen 14 sec LS1s with mods also.
Its different car to car and driver to driver, but not impossible because it has been done.
