Default 99 TransAm vs C6 Z06 vette (video)

I ran a time trial against a new LS7 vette this Saturday. He was on street tires and claimed that his best previous pass was around a 12.0 to 12.1. I was spraying a 150 shot but only knocked off 6 tenths with the juice as I was running 12.3s on motor the same day (I've got to get the nitrous sorted out). I should have been close to an 11 flat or better with that shot.

Anyway here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz4IFpYjft0

Only .6 with a 150 shot. Are you spraying out of the hole? I know every car is different and weather conditions play a factor but that seems really low. On a 100 shot I gained 1.2 seconds. Have you checked the air fuel ratio to see what you are running on the nitrous? Awesome car by the way.

Thanks,

I logged the air/fuel ratio when I was testing the nitrous on the street and was in the 12.4-5 to 1 range. I did not log during this run. I gained over 12 mph and 1 second spraying a 100 shot last year. I've only made that one pass on the 150 shot; however, it certainly did not perform as it should have. I should have ran an 11.0 at around 123 mph. I just upgraded my HP Tuners to Pro which will allow data-logging of my air/fuel with my wideband. I'll get things tuned properly in the next few days.

One thought that I have is regarding my MSD window switch. My car is shifting near 6200 rpms on the 1-2 shift (I know it is too high but after the installation of the tci stall my shift points were a bit off and I'm still tweaking them on the 1-2) My 2-3 shift is happening at the commanded 6000 rpm shift point. My window switch is set up to turn off the nitrous at 5800 rpms. I'm staying "off the bottle" for 400 rpms at the top of first gear. That could be some of the problem. I think I'll set my 2-3 shift point to 6100 and then set the window switch for 6000 rpms. That will keep me on the bottle for more of the run.
