results, is there room for improvement?
These are the two best time slips I have. I was wondering judging from these is there much room for improvement and if so how do I go about accomplishing this? The only mods I have are LT's, xpipe duals, 160 stat, hp tuners tune, slp lid, slp "ram air" duct. I made 360 rwhp and 379 rwtq on the dyno. (2002 z28 m6)

altitude is ~736 above sea level. As far as my 60' maybe on friday I will try to leave the line at a higher rpm. I have been leaving at ~1500 don't really feel that I will get much traction beyond that though...guess it is time for some drag radials. I have heard that some people disconect thier front sway bar for the track, what exactly does this accomplish and would it be something that I should look into? Thanks

Yes toss the front sway bar, it will help with weight transfer to the rear wheels. But you definitly need some sticky tires. But dumping the clutch could blow your rear, so you will have to slip the clutch which the stocker is not really up to the task...

I will give the sway bar a try. And I will try to borrow my buddy's drag radials. As far as slipping the clutch I think mine can take it. I just replaced the clutch last month with a ls7 clutch and flywheel with a new slave.

Leave the sway bar on your car man.
The sway bar is one of the last things you need to remove. I just left the track last weekend and was running 1.6X 60' times WITH the sway bar connected... disconnecting the sway bar would have helped SOME, but I street drive the car and it's a much safer car with the sway bar connected...
First - you need to leave at higher rpm... 1,500 is too low... try 2,500 and slipping the clutch just a little...
Second - buy a set of Nitto DRs
Third - enjoy 12 second time slips
Fourth - buy a 9", slicks and leave off the limiter (just kidding, but not really).
Good luck.

I believe you have a 12 second car already. I can only launch at 1400 rpm's max because my BFG G-Force street radials won't grip. My best so far is 12.81 et with a 2.032 60' at 111.88 mph. That was with me spinning in 1st and 2nd gear as well. I have do dump the clutch cause my original stock clutch won't take the slipping mode. It's very spongy by the time I get to the end of the track as it is. Keep up the practicing.

Your car should definitely see 12's with a better 60ft. My old car was a 98z auto with a fairly small cam/converter and only put down 361hp/359 ft lb. I know it makes a difference being an auto but with some weight reduction and just lca's and DR's it went 11.69@115. Keep going and experimenting and see if you can get that 60ft down, I know there's more left in there

[QUOTE=ATLSS;11431828]Are you serious??

I think I am going to try a run with it on and a run with it off. And see what happens. Either way I wasn't planing on driving to the track with it disconnected. I will try to leave at higher rpm though this coming weekend will be the first time I have put drag radials on my car, It will be interesting to see how that plays out.
