Default New Parts Slower Times ---WTF?

I finally got a chance to run my new Drag Setup and underdrive pulley. I got Centerline Convo Pros 15x4 and 15x9 with a 26x10-15 ET drag and the Powerbond UD pulley. I ran my car for 4 runs yesterday and I actually slowed down. What gives? The front rim and tire is 20 lbs lighter than stock and the rear rim and drag tire is 10 lbs lighter. I got a new best 60' of 1.53 and can now just lift the tire off the line but I actually went 1.5 slower ET and 1.5 mph. I know yesterday had a 10-15mph headwind and the temp was around 75,but why did I go slower from my best time of 11.25 @ 119.8 w/1.579 60' to a 11.40@118.7 w/1.53 60'. I did have a vibration on my last run that turned out to be my right rear rim rubbing on my caliper a little. What gives has the weather effected my times that bad.

I figured it is a DA issue but I went from a stock SS 10 spoke front and 16" 5star 26x10.5 ET street to lighter rims and tires and an underdrive pulley. I should have at least run close to my personal best. I guess its time to do a tune up and head back the first weekend in May.

Glad I got to meet you yesterday! I loaded up when you did after that shower but hung around for awhile. They got the track dried so I decided to make one more pass. The track was much faster. I pulled a 1.40 60', 6.23 1/8 @ 116. After the 1/8 I picked up a lean misfire so I lifted and coasted thru with a 10.24 @ 104 mph. Guess I need to check the afr some more. If you had stayed around I bet you could have bested your et. Give me a shout the next time you head back to Fay-Nam.

I was going to hang around but on my last run I had a bad vibration and I was not sure what it was. I got home and found out that it was my right rear brake caliper rubbing the rim and little. I got to grind a little more on it.

That is one nice car you got. I can only wish mine to be that nice and well put together. I really liked your setup.

Hello, like tektrans stated you need an anti roll bar. I would like to suggest our extreme anti roll bar. It will definitely stop the body seperation. Give me a call if you have any questions.
