I have a 97 lt1 convertable with 115K. It has stock heads with mild port work. .579int .583 exhaust. 30# injectors. Long tubes no cats. 3200 converter. Stock maf and throttle body

I had the stock 2.73 gear and ran through the full exhaust and went 13.17@106.

Now I went back today with a 3.73 new suspension in the rear and on closed exhaust and slicks ran 13.06@ 104

Then I ran it open exhaust and got it to run 12.71@107

Now I dont get it the 60ft was the same as as it was with the 2.73 which was 1.80.

I had no mph at all. What do you guys think. I figured it would have ran more mph and at least 2 tenths faster.

The car weighs 3800# with me in it.

What kind of realistic horsepower do you think you have?

Some where in the high 300 range. Im more disapointed that the gear change didnt do anything but pick up one tenth and lost 2 mph. I cant really look at the open exhaust run cause I never ran it like that with the old gear.

How many passes did you run with the closed exhaust and 3.73.

I ran 2 passes. The other pass on the closed exhaust was 13.16@ 102. I trailered the car also so it wasnt heat soaked from the drive to the track.
