Default New best Yesterday

Went out and made a few good passes yesterday.

A year ago, the car couldn't run faster than a 14.1@101 With a little help from Frost we made a few changes to a pretty much stock car. Car has the mods in sig w/ 18" rear street tires. This year is much better than last fall.

In august I got the car running 13.5@102 and up until yesterday I got it down to consistent 13.4's@102. Here are yesterdays times

60' 2.1
1/8 8.69
mph 84.30
1/4 13.40
mph 103.95

60' 2.1
1/8 8.71
mph 84.11
1/4 13.42
mph 103.81

60' 2.0
1/8 8.63
mph 84.27
1/4 13.34
mph 103.90

This run I spun at the hit and let out for a brief moment
60' 2.2
1/8 8.8
mph 84.05
1/4 13.60
mph 103.45

60' 2.0
1/8 8.63
mph 84.46
1/4 13.33
mph 104.02

Overall I am pleased and looking at some Longtubes, Y pipe and like a stall along with some smaller wheels and DR's as my next mods.

First I had a bad cat converter, and took care of that. He basically tuned the car. Not sure how much can be done on a car with a Lid, catback and cutout, but I was unsure of what the previous owner may have done to it. One thing he saw and addressed was the transmission. When he first saw it, the transmission was set to shift softer than the factory. That made a huge difference! Once that was addressed he did work on the 98 infamous fake knock and adjusted that a little. Other than that it pretty much has a stock tune with a few minor tweaks.
