Talking New PB: Cam only m6!!! (11.23@121)

Took the car to Byron today to make a couple passes in some good air and the car ran great. Pulled it off the trailer and I imediately ran an 11.45 which beat my old PB of 11.64. Then I started adjusting tire psi and the 2-step and by the end of the day I left with new PB of 11.23@121 with a 1.56 60'. Here are my 4 best E.T.s of the day and a few action shots too.

Looks good. You have a 2 step or is that off limiter.

You didn't happen to be at Byron last sunday, the 25th i think?

I have a Lingenfelter LNC-002 2-step and it was set at 6600rpms. No, I couldn't make it out last Sun.

Thanks, I haven't got a chance to scale the car yet. Byron's scale was broke so I guess it will have to wait. The car isn't super light. Just the normal racer's wieght reduction so far. No cutting, I've just pulled out everything I don't need (A/C, bumper supports, pass. and rear seats, cruise/traction control, abs....)

Thanks, guys the car was working really well yesterday. I'm going to do a little more weight reduction over the winter, get a rear drag bar, and shoot for 10s next year. Hopefully I'll be in the club by this time next year.

4" Mufflex system with the muffler removed. The car made 402rwhp and 375rwtq with 17x11 ZR1s w/315s, an LS7 clutch, tru trac w/3.89s, and a Magnaflow cb. The car now has Billet Streetlites, a Mcleod RST twindisk, and a spool w/4.30s. So I'm assuming it's making a little more power. Maybe around 410-415rwhp???

Btw Studderin, what's the highest you launch your car at? I started the 2-step at 6000 yesterday and worked my way up to 6700. My tire psi was at 10-10.5, front shocks were at 0 EXT/5 COMP, rears were at 5 all day long, and it was dead hooking everytime. Should I have added more air in the tires til I got them to spin a couple revolutions or kept bumping the 2-step up?

Thanks, yes I'm running Billet Streetlites 15x4s and LS1 specific 15x10s. The 2-step is one of the best mods I've ever done. The car is much more consistant now.

So 4inch over the axle? pull that **** off and put like 18inch of tubing off the headers. I had a 4inch mufflex I could have gotten for cheap, the thing weight like 80#s Notice any change over the MF,I dont think thats a bad catback at all? what muffler did you have on the mufflex, Some guys said they make one that cost a bunch of power?

How do you like the spool over the TT, why did you change it out?
how do you like that clutch? its a single disk right? what material is it?

I only changed the 2step for my DR, I know whats going on with them (can feel it spinning). But all year with the slicks had it set at 6500 and raced all day. Just to keep it over the shiftlight 6500 so it shifted alot better banging the 2step quick, (it shifts better). It was weird I set it to 6400 once for a day with the shiftlight at 6500, at it would fireball/backfire loud (more then normal). Just somthing about how it worked at 6400 over 6500, maybe turned off a few more coils? I moved them both up 200 once and 60/330 got better but lost .5 mph. lowerd the shiftlight to 6300 and went back up (but it didn't fall into gear like I like) For the 10.6s I turned the 2step up to 6800 it short times better always with more rpm, but thats all the motor I have really lol. And you can hear it in the vids, I can't shift as fast with the 2step now engauging going down the track, set way move the the shiftlight.
what did your the do as you rasied the 2step?

tires was at 12.5 but JL w-s6 said I should go up 1 psi?
rear shocks are the cheap summits set in the middle 50/50, front stange singles (R) set at 3

you notice your car gose faster not looking at the 60 numbers, and just useing the 330+ numbers? my car dose???

DTB_LS1 Nice times bro. And yes it is time for a drag bar haha. I wish i went to byron Saturday like you and not today. I made 9 passes but the air was good then it went away. And 4 passes were 10.xx passes with A 1.46 60 and 1.47 60's My mph was down to 125 all day but the air was junk. + 700 and up i think i need to check. And great job that car is moving out for sure.

I have the Spintech muffler but I only run it on the street. I definately need to get a exhaust setup that I can swap out for the track. I love my spool, I swapped out my tru crap cuz I gernaded it the second trip to the track.

As for my shiftlight, its set at 6700 and I never move it. I did notice that when I set the 2-step at 6700 it backfired a little. You can hear in my 11.25 vid. I think I've got my launch/shift rpms right, now I just need to work on the shocks and tire psi.
