New 1/4 m ile best, 347/D1SC procharger
I usually just post in the FI section so I figured I post it here, finally made it back out to a 1/4 mile track Saturday. Weather wasnt that great (75*, 1500' DA), track was super crowded, one pass the tree messed up and I didnt get a time, another spun bad but I was able to make one decent one, 9.21 @ 145 with a 1.31 60 foot.
Very basic combo, 347, AFR 225 heads, D1SC procharger, 224 XE cam, LS6 intake/stock TB, 1 7/8 headers, 3" y-pipe to 4" muffler exhaust, power steering, brakes, 3365lbs raceweight, TH400 on 275/60 Hoosier radials.
Hoping to catch some better weather, take a little weight out and squeak in the 8s, but if not I'm pretty happy with the way its running.

I used some VP 104 unleaded I had to use it up, but usually run C16. I could run it on 93 if I really wanted to but why risk blowing it up, 4 gallons of C16 is a lot cheaper then a couple pistons. Its only 9:1 compression so I could drive it around on 87 as long as I dont floor it

Now I'm thinking about prochargers again for my next motor A buddy just did a mild 472 BBC with an F2, solid roller and 850 blow through carb in a 3100 lb '67 Camaro. 5.44 at 130 mph with a 1.26 60 foot in the 1/8 mile, and he bracket raced it to three round wins a week ago.
What psi you turning Kevin?

I see around 18psi @ 7000rpm, that seems like a lot but its a small CID engine with a Y-pipe exhaust with a small cam.

Good runs with a nice and simple combo.
It's interesting because I starting comparing your setup to my setup and we are both similar with stock cubes, AFR225s, small cams, and TH400 swaps with the main difference being your D1SC vs my T76. I am a hundred lbs heavier and am running about 16 psi the whole way down the track and I went 9.47 @ 143.7 for comparison sake. You got me by a full tenth in the 60' department and it's exactly what it should be at the end of the track so we gotta be making around the same power, etc. Just thought it was kind of a cool comparison between the two similar combos.

WOW you trap 121 in the 1/8? jeez. I only go like 113 but still trap 142... 24mph pickup after the 1/8 is typical of a n/a car than a boosted motor.
Nice runs man, thats hauling

They work OK, the Hoosiers are pretty much radial slicks with two groves in them. I wouldnt street drive them, cant imagine they are any better then ET streets in the rain, M/T drag radials are more of a street tire then these.
