Default First time at the track with my 99 SS

Ran my 99 SS A4 at a local 1/8 track yesterday.
Mods are Hooker LTs, ORY, Hooker catback, SLP lid
The car is full weight with heavy chrome zr1s & 3.23s
8.2 @ 88mph with a 1.96 sixty foot.

I was happy with what it ran on street tires, a few small changes and it should touch the 7s. Next in line is tires, gears, ls6 intake and tune.

What kind of 60 foot is a bolt on A4 with good tires capable of?

I was only able to cut 1.96 60's in my Z with MT's. The stock converter wouldn't let me get any more than that. Everytime I tried stalling it to 1800-2000, it would start pushing the front tires outta the beams. So yeah, a Stall is where it's at.

A stall is definatley in the near future, I would really like to hit a 7.99 with bolt ons first.

Sticky tires help too. My Z is "almost" stock (Lid, Filter, Free ram air mod, bellows and a Diablo programmer). I doubt I would have hit the 12.90's w/o the tires.

Those are really good times for an A4.

As you can see by my TA's old ET's youre already in the 12's...

EDIT- the best youre prolly gonna see with stock gears/stall would be low 1.9's even with tires. Grab a stall asap. It'll be night & day...

well you can always buy the stall and just wait until you run the number to put the 'verter in. we're running a sweet sale on Yank converters right now that you should get in on!

$75 off and free shipping.
