what is the fastest ET for a 6-speed ls1 f-body with a stock bottom end? anyone break into the 9's with just heads/cam/nitrous and a t-56?

^ lots of ? marks with his sbe I thought...also was running some trick trickflows with ti valves...some very nice parts for sure...

guys have went 10.2s cam only m6 just think what they would run with a shot and heads...

GMhighperformance was there for his 9 sec run and they pulled the motor apart and it had stock (notched) pistons and arp rod bolts but was stock other than that.

It's all in that article I posted. Who said you can't run a 50 degree valve seat on a set of tricked out heads? If it's a max effort car I don't see why you wouldn't.

i havent made a full pass on slicks yet, but thinking it should do somewhere 10.3 range. actually gonna go to the track sat to try but its been in the mid 90's with high humidity lately.

if it does run around the 10.2-10.4 range, the stock t56 doesnt explode, and if i can get a minor cold front i may turn the boost up for a run or two a try and be one the few to dip into the 9's stock shortblock 6speed. been a long time goal for the me to shift into the 9's.

They had pics of the bore and stroke with a digital gauge at the track right after the runs. It was in the gmhtp article. I'm guessing he's not on the sbe list because too many people got their panties in a bunch over it. LS1Tech is a joke for seeing where you sit nationally in these "lists" especially when they exclude people for no reason. I don't think TSP tore their motor down to verify?

Futral also went 9's with a heads/cam no adder 6 speed. It's been done by a few people.

I dont think allen was SBE at the time. I think it was a 38? that when 9s with the t56. Meuex 243s, and the sheetmetal intake.

Jugger went 9.6 SBE with a auto, but I think 9.90 with the t56 still, Some of the locals would know, he gudge raced the car for a summer before he told anyone it was running 9's
LS1joe went 10.1 turning a SBE to 7800 for a while t56/NA

Didnt LG put that 535whp SBE motor they did in one of there C5R setup cars. weight like 2400, and took it to dragstrip. It was just somehint they did for a week or somthing like that. There was in car vids of it spinning 1-2-3 ran like 9.80 or somthing but it was 145 or somthing lol thats was a t56
