Brought my stock XLR-V to the strip
Went to the track to see what the '06 XLR-V would do as a stock vehicle. Just picked it up last Tuesday as my wife's new daily driver.
The track was Houston Raceway Park
Weather was right at 90 degrees making it about 2100 DA (sucks)
Scales looked blocked off, but I'd estimate raceweight at 3950 (I weigh 180)
Best run:
60 - 1.96 (best 60 was 1.94)
330 - 5.394
1/8 - 8.189 @ 89.62
1/4 - 12.635 @ 111.72
The car was quicker than I thought it would be.
TM was a pain during the launch and it took several runs to figure out how to roll into the throttle to avoid it. Now that I know how to do it, I'm sure I can get the 60's down closer to a 1.90 with a bit more practice.
I have no doubt that this winter it'll run low 12s (12.2-12.3) stock when HRP sees some nice negative DA nights
It was a good way to kill a day while my vette gets it's new converter installed
