1rst. runs with Firehawk today!!! Had a beautiful day today at the track, Dallas Raceway, Almost 70 deg. Nice and sunny. Lots of nice cars to watch. Anyways I got a chance to get a good baseline on my recently purchased 2002 Firehawk, Auto trans. Only mods on it are Pacesetter LT's and Magnaflow exhaust, oh yeah and a good tune from my friend Sean at Truestreet Motorsports. Running street tires I managed to pull off a 1.98 - 60', trapping a 12.90 @ 106mph... I was pretty happy with my results considering the few mods iv'e got on the car, for the time being, lol... My goal is to have a daily driven street car that i can go to the track and run mid 11's on motor and possibly high 10's on some juice if needed and drive her home again. I dont think i should have too much problem gettin there from what i can see. Saw some other nice F-bodies out there also today, one being a sweet white ls1 SS camaro that launched on a 200 shot and went skyward only to slam it back to the ground destroying a few key parts under the car including the oil pan... not pretty!! Had to help him and his buds push her onto the trailer.. Nice ride for sure, but gonna need some work and some wheelie bars this time....
