Default just got home from the track new pb

well after finally getting my 3.73's installed i decided to finally go down to the local 1/8th mile to check out my times

mods are ls6 intake, ls6 valley cover, lid, ebay lt's , pace y, magnaflow catback, 3.73's, lower control arms, and some 16" drags...

my car is auto so i didnt really launch, actually i just mashed the gas until i passed the sign lol...

my best time was an 8.58 @ 84 with a 2.15 60'

is that pretty normal for a mildly modded t/a?
if those are good #'s i might do the h/c by the end of september

I am positive you could cut .1-.2 more tenth if you lower your 60ft and with DR's I know you can. Those numbers are indeed good so I would def go H/C amd really wake that car up. - although, you will need a stall too.

It depends on the DA and weight of you car.

With weight reduction and a -925DA I ran a 2.00 60' 8.187@89.68.

TSP lid, LS6 intake manifold, Pacesetter LTs, TSP ORY, Zed style cutout, HP Tuners, Free mods, ET Streets
Removed Pass seat(rears already gone) Jack, spare etc
weighed 3245 w/o me 3430 w/me

Launch as hard as you can with the stock stall. The Drag radials will be able to handle it.

Get a stall 3400-3600 will help you 60' much better... I have basically the same set up but with only 3.23 gears and a 3400 stall, just ran 8.17 in 100+ heat..

I run almost identical times as you man. Except i have stock 3.23's, lca's and was on street tires. Your times seem about right.

A stall will get you off the line quicker and improve your 60ft lot.A 3000-3200 stall will knock .4-.5 off your time and 3400-3600K will knock .5-.6 off and 3800 up will knock off .6 to 1 whole second off your time..But buy a good Trans cooler and get it tuned.
