Per the title, the car is a full weight (and I do mean FULL weight) '02 WS6 with long-tubes, O/R-Y, Magnaflow cat-back, lid, and a tune (stock 3.23) gears. I made all three passes on the factory 17" wheels with some lame Falken tires.

I think I may have been able to whittle down my 60' times a little bit, but 16 second FWD turds kept dragging water across the starting line, making it difficult to leave on the street radials. I would really like to get some track-only wheels and tires to do away with some rotating mass after the Edge converter goes in.

You can get that 60' down. Especially this time of year. Mine did a best 1.9 60' when I had same mods as you. IDK how much the ws6 hood really helps but I do know my ssra was good for .2 give or take.

good times, any idea of the da? that 55* sounds very appealing.

i think all that ram air hood does is add weight. it doesn't appear to serve any real function.

Assuming the car actually has been tuned, and just doesn't have the air pump and downstream O2 sensors disabled, it would be a local tuner that the previous owner had done.

I don't know what the DA was, sorry. I think a little more practice on street tires could definitely warrant some 13.0X times.

DA that day at Speed World was around 2,000ft DA at 3pm and slowely dropped to about 1,000ft DA at 7pm.

Well, the torque converter and trans cooler goes in next week hopefully. I'm thinking some drag radials and a trip to the track next Friday could be fun!

Get a low 2.0 or under and you'll get there. I think you can do it on those street tires if they have decent tread and the track prep is good.

I had a few bad nights where I'd have to pedal my way to 2.0s and 13.0s or worse, then finally got nights where she'd dead hook while my foot knocked a dent in the floor pan. That's when I got into the 12s.


What stall did you get? I put a Yank 3500 in mine along with 3.73s and the converter is the best thing you can do to an A4. It completely changed the experience of driving a slushbox around. Haven't been back to the track since though.
